Story Behind The Song

An uncle "father like" and I were riding alone southbound on Interstate 1 in a snowstorm as I wrote the lyrics in my head. As we stopped in Hope Vally RI, I realized that the man who was like a father was also a friend and has been since my father died when I was a kid. He passed away October 17, 2006; I will never forget the man.
